Predefined Slots

Calpendo now supports predefined slot times which may be enabled for some or all resources. If these are enabled in Calpendo, then clicking in a resources column anywhere within a predefined slot will bring up the booking create pop-up with the times for that slot already filled in. If columns are shared between resources or are not present then the standard booking form will come up and the user will need to fill in the slot times correctly in order to book the resource.

Colour When No Templates Apply

The user can now define the background colour to be used when no Time Templates apply. This can be set in Settings->Calendar View.

Hyperlinks

When viewing search results some hyperlinks may be shown. These will take the user to additional information about the data being displayed. E.g. When viewing a booking search, the project name will be a hyperlink which will take the user to the projects information.

Email Hyperlink

When viewing a user or any other item which contains an email address, the address will now be shown as a hyperlink that will create a new email.

Changes in Functionality

User Settings - Resource Column Display

In the User Settings options under Calendar View there is a new option which allows each user to define how the resources will be shown on the calendar. The choices are Always present, Separate and Share where possible. For a full description on how these options will change the way resources are viewed on the calendar read the section on Exploring The Bookings Calendar.

Time Template Hide/Show

To make the choice of which Time Templates to be shown on the calendar simpler this has been reduced to Show or Hide. Thus if a resource column is present then Time Templates will either be shown or not shown.

Time Template Messages

More Informative template messages are now displayed when you let your mouse cursor hover over the background of the Bookings Calendar. In particular, all Time Template messages are preceded by the relevant resource name.

Booking Calendar View Changed

The way the calendar looks has changed. In order to make columns easier to see the calendar uses a blue grid to delineate columns. The gap between the days is also defined in the same blue.

User Sees All Time Templates In Template Calendar

Previously non-admin users would only see the Time Templates that would affect them in the Time Template Calendar view. It now shows all Time Templates..

Changes to Resource Usage Session Recorder

When selecting a booking, the list presented to the user is now filtered to only include those bookings the user can create a usage for.
