A user can change their own settings, as described in User Settings in the Exprodo DB User Guide. Sometimes, however, the administrator may want to edit another user's settings. This can be desirable if some users do not have permission to modify all of their settings. For example, Exprodo DB may have been configured so that a regular user cannot choose which menu they use, whereas an administrator may have permission to do so. The menu is one of the properties of a user's settings.
